John Milton (9 December 16088 November 1674) was a male Human who lived on Earth during the 17th century.

Biography[]

A poet, he is best remembered for his work Paradise Lost, and its sequel, Paradise Regained. Milton also wrote "On His Blindness".

Khan Noonien Singh and Captain James T. Kirk had both read Paradise Lost at some points in their lives. Khan took copies of Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained with him in his exile on Ceti Alpha V. Montgomery Scott either had not read or did not remember Milton's work, remarking that it was a shame for a good Scotsman to admit that. (TOS episode: "Space Seed"; TOS movie: The Wrath of Khan)

In an alternate universe, Sonya Gomez cited Milton, commenting on the importance of making one's own choices, pointing out that Satan's choice to rule in Hell had been the right one for him. (SCE eBook: Lost Time)
