Jokis was a character in the Klingon opera Goqlath Castle. The actor Kenni had played the role of Jokis in a production of Goqlath Castle seen by Bekk G'joth.

It is likely, though not certain, that Jokis was also a real historical person in Klingon history. (KE novel: A Burning House)
