Jonathan Frakes as William T. Riker

Jonathan Frakes is an American actor who played Commander Will Riker in Star Trek: The Next Generation, he was born in 1952 on August 19. Around 1987 a few weeks, and a couple of auditions, he obtained the role that would make him famous, Commander William Riker on The Next Generation. He directed eight episodes in all for TNG TV series and was offered to direct on the Next Generation spin-offs, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager. He directed two TNG movies: Star Trek: First Contact and Star Trek: Insurrection as well as directed the cut scenes for the PC Video game Star Trek: Klingon.

Frakes played Riker in 176 episodes of TNG and all four movies, as well as appearing in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode Defiant (as Tom Riker from TNG episode: "Second Chances"), the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Death Wish" and the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "These Are the Voyages...". He reprised his role as Riker in the Picard episodes "Nepenthe" and "Et in Arcadia Ego"
