Jules Verne
Jules Verne was a Human author, born in France in 1828. He was famed as a pioneer of the field of science fiction writing.
Benny Russell read the books of Jules Verne borrowed from his school library, and was inspired by his works to become as science fiction writer himself. (DS9 novel: Far Beyond the Stars)
Amelia Earhart, upon her revival in the 24th century, initially refused to believe the reality of her situation, insisting stories of space travel were works of science fiction like those of Jules Verne. (VOY episode: "The 37's")
