Kahless and Lukara was a celebrated Klingon opera depicting the story of Kahless the Unforgettable and his mate, Lukara, considered the greatest Klingon love story. It is also known by the title The Story of Kahless and Lukara. (Last Unicorn RPG module: Holodeck Adventures)

In the 2340s, a production of Kahless and Lukara was performed before the entire Federation Council. (DS9 - The Left Hand of Destiny novel: Book Two)

Quark had a holographic presentation of Kahless and Lukara in his library of holographic programs, which was enjoyed by his Klingon ex-wife, Grilka. (DS9 episode: "Looking for par'Mach in All the Wrong Places"; DS9 short story: "... Loved I Not Honor More")

Worf was a fan of this opera, and would on occasion sing its arias. (DS9 short story: "The Devil You Know") Kaga, the proprietor of the Klingon restaurant on Deep Space 9, also would perform selections from the opera for his customers. (KE novel: A Burning House)
