Kalena Hoku

Kalena Hoku was a female Human serving in Starfleet in the 24th century. She has a milky complexion, blue-green eyes and short blonde hair. She holds the rank of Captain and commands the USS Mjolnir.

In 2376, Hoku brought Admiral Leonard James Akaar to Deep Space 9 where she and Kira Nerys briefly spoke to each other. (DS9 novel: The Dominion: Olympus Descending)

Hoku and Kira met again later that year when Kira and Sam Bowers came aboard the Mjolnir to take possession of the runabout USS Yolja. They talked about Kira's promotion to Captain, Bajor entering the Federation and Asarem Wadeen's accession to First Minister. Kira asked Hoku about the rumors of her being promoted to Rear Admiral, although Hoku had heard little about it. As Kira was leaving the ship, Hoku told her she hoped they would meet again.
