Kara na Miin was a female Starfleet lieutenant commander who, during the Borg Invasion of 2381, was assigned as second officer of the USS Kearsarge. Na Miin was forced to take control of the Kearsarge while engaging the Borg at Vulcan, after her commanding officer, Captain Tando, suffered a nervous breakdown, and the first officer was killed. Inthe weeks following the invasion, na Miin was counseled by Counselor Brian Ellis at Starbase 22. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)
