Karas class

The Karas class was a type of strike cruiser deployed by the Klingon Defense Force in the late 24th century.

As strike cruisers, the Karas class lacked the firepower and endurance of full battle cruisers, but in packs or in support of heavier ships, they could be quite effective. To this end, Karas class vessels carried a torpedo complement far in excess of other ships of their size. (GKN novel: Honor Bound)

Three Karas-class ships engaged a Romulan D'Deridex-class warbird in the T'Met system in January of 2380. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)
