Karn was a male Cardassian who held the rank of Gul in the 24th century.

Karn was involved with the military encounters with the Arachnids at Kobixine. Karn "caved in" (according to Procal Dukat) and the Cardassian forces were slaughtered by the Arachnids. Karn was later assassinated by the Brotherhood for becoming "infected" with what Dukat believed was a weakness at the heart of Cardassian society. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)
