Katarina Scott was the chief engineer of the USS Dallas. When the ship was attacked by Exomorphs, her Captain assigned her and two other personnel to use an experimental transporter technique that would store their patterns in the buffer until help arrived. This transporter technique was created by her great grandfather, Montgomery Scott. (ST video game: Elite Force II)
