The Kawarda was an ancient Vulcan house who were once in possession of the gemstone that came to be known as Vulcan's Glory. This clan came to believe that their soul dwelt within the stone. However, in the year 1433 at the Battle of Deen T'zal, it was taken by the warlord Sorrd of clan Archenida who took it as a trophy of war. However, in time, the ways of war changed to the beliefs of logic leading to all of Vulcan to consider that their souls resided within the heart of Vulcan's Glory which became a great cultural artifact for their civilization.
