A Kelca Shev ("Badge of Office") was an item worn by members of the Vulcan race.

Whilst Vulcans placed little emphasis on rank, their society found it necessary for important individuals to be recognised from normal citizens. As such, they created the Kelca Shev which took the form of a large pendant or embroidered design worn on the chest. The design itself was symbolic of the wearers occupation or had their name inscribed in stylized letters.

Many Vulcans that wore these badges of office found it as a great imposition on their privacy. As such, they wore the Kelca Shev during official functions or when asking a favor of another. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
