In the mirror universe, Kevin Thomas Riley was a Terran serving in the Imperial Starfleet during 23rd century. In 2277 he became first officer of the ISS Enterprise under the command of Grand Admiral Spock after the execution of his previous XO, Willard Decker. When Spock was crowned Emperor of the Terran Empire Riley became captain of the Enterprise and held the position for at least the next seven years. (TOS novel: The Sorrows of Empire)
