For other uses, see Kir.

Kir was a male Klingon in the 23rd century, in the 2250s he served in the Klingon Defense Force, and was assigned as a bridge officer aboard the IKS Varchas under Commander Kaaj in 2254.

Whilst on a mission in the Marrat Nebula, Kir had the gall to question Kaaj's bravery; he paid for this insolence instants later when Kaaj plunged Kir's head into his console leaving him with severe facial scaring. (EV comic: "The Fires of Pharos")

Later, when the Varchas was pursuing Christopher Pike in a shuttlecraft, Kaaj blamed Kir for allowing Pike to escape. Fortunately for Kir his crewmate Virka placed the blame on Kolj, costing the other man's life and leaving Kir indebted to Virka. (EV comic: "The Flat, Gold Forever")
