In the mirror universe, Kira Meru was the Bajoran mother of Kira Nerys. At one time, she had an affair with Skrain Dukat. This led to Dukat's unhealthy obsession with Nerys. (DS9 - Mirror Universe novel: Saturn's Children)

Meru is not named in Saturn's Children, but it can be assumed that she shared a name with Nerys' mother in the regular universe.
