Kira Taban

Kira Taban was a Bajoran male, he was married to Meru, and they had two sons; Pohl and Reon and a daughter Nerys.

Meru was taken to be 'comfort woman' for the Cardassians and in return the family received more rations. When Taban took in Tir Ramara after her families death she noticed the extra rationed and informed the resistance who instructed her to take the excess to give to those more needy, when Taban caught her she accused him of being a traitor and ran away. Subsequently to avoid being hounded as collaborators the Kiras were forced to give up there extra rations. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)
