In an alternate reality, Katherine "Kitty" Pryde was a mutant Human born in the late 20th century.

Biography[]

Kitty was member of the team known as the X-Men who encountered the USS Enterprise-E when it was flung into an alternate 1996 by the actions of the transdimensional tyrant Kang. (TNG comic: "Second Contact")

Sometime later she and the rest of her team appeared on Enterprise and were instrumental in defusing a situation where a group of people on a nearby planet began undergoing similar mutation. (TNG novel: Planet X)

Kitty had the abilty to "phase" through solid objects and was trained in combat. (TNG comic: "Second Contact")

Katherine was extremely capable with technology even appearing to grasp the basics of Federation technology. Given that her team was apparently in contact with alien technology this should not be too surprising.

Geordi La Forge analyzed Kitty's powers and found the process similar to the phase effect experienced by himself and Ro Laren in the year 2368. (TNG novel: Planet X)
