The Klaestron are a humanoid species from the Alpha Quadrant. They had a close relationship with the Cardassians.

The Klaestron fought a civil war in the early 24th century. Curzon Dax was observing them at the time. (DS9 episode: "Dax")

The Klystron race mentioned in the DS9 novel: Betrayal may have been intended to be the Klaestrons.
