Known Space was an artistic portrayal of the United Federation of Planets and other major powers' positions within the Alpha and Beta Quadrants by Andorian artist Rhiis Talee in the year 2386.

Known Space was, perhaps, Talee's most iconic work, and copies could be found in living quarters and classrooms across the Federation. The beauty and accuracy of the map ensured its popularity. The original was on loan to the Popular Fine Arts Collection in Memory Alpha during the late 2380s.

In 2387, the map—along with nine others from the Federation's allies, neighbours and enemies—was published to represent a multifaceted view of known space. (ST reference: Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library)
