Komack was the name of one of three cats owned by Anne Gauvreau and kept aboard the SS Ian Shelton. Komack was named after Starfleet Admiral Komack, though Gauvreau noted that her Komack could not keep her from doing as she pleased. (TOS novel: Prime Directive)
