The laanur was an animal native to the planet Mestiko, with a feline body, dark eyes, webbed back feet, prehensile forefeet and lustrous fur striped blue and silver. Prior to 2265, the laanur was a popular domesticated pet among the Payav people of Mestiko. Following the ecological disaster of "the Pulse", however, the species was all but wiped out.
