Lakat is a city on Cardassia. Early in the 24th century, the city was plagued with food shortages, as was most of the planet.

Several famous Cardassians were born in Lakat, such as Skrain Dukat and Madred. Dukat's family was still living in Lakat in 2318. (TLE - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers, TNG episode: "Chain of Command")
