Landing party

A landing party is a 23rd century name for an away team. When a team from a starship transport down to a surface of a planet, they are classed as a landing party.

The term "away team" would almost replace the term by the 24th century, although several people have used the term, including Odo. (DS9 novelization: "What You Leave Behind")
