In 2385, Lant was working at the Qhembembem Outpost where he sold various pieces of contraband. DTI agents Meyo Ranjea and Teresa Garcia, knowing that the criminal Daiyar would seek to buy a constructive path integrator from Lant, tried to enlist his assistance in stopping Daiyar.
