Levok was a Romulan that served as a Senator for a long period of time, stretching into the 2260s and was well known for his dramatic tirades.

In 2267, he argued that the the Empire should attack the Federation and the Klingon Empire before they were able to surround the Romulans and strangle the Empire. (ST novella: The First Peer)
