"The Leyton Affair" was a term used to refer to the conspiracy led by Admiral James Leyton in 2372 to bring planet Earth under Starfleet rule, under the premise that Federation President Jaresh-Inyo was not willing or able to do enough to defend the planet from Dominion attack.
