Liankataka was a male Dreman political leader in the 24th century. Sometime after late 2368, he succeeded Shalkara as Guardian, the leader of Drema IV's government, a post which he apparently held through mid 2377.

In 2369, Liankataka presided over the ceremony welcoming the crew of the newly established Starfleet Drema Station, where Captain David Gold of the USS Progress stood in for the absent Admiral Jameson Tucker. During that event, a major cave-in at a nearby dilithium mine occurred, and when Liankataka and Gold went to investigate, both ended up falling into the mine and becoming trapped. Liankataka suffered injuries to his legs and back, and was aided by Gold and another trapped Dreman, Kajana. They were later rescued and treated by Dr. Katherine Pulaski. In gratitude, Liankataka gave Gold a gift of a knotted wood cane, for use while recovering from his own injuries. (SCE eBook: Progress)

Shortly after, Liankataka learned from Sarjenka, the first Dreman to attend Starfleet Academy, of Starfleet's unknown role in saving Drema IV from destruction in 2365, years before official first contact. In response, Liankataka elevated Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard to a position of great honor in Dreman society. (CoE eBook: Remembrance of Things Past, Book I)

In 2377, Liankataka invited Gold to join him in celebrating Sarjenka's graduation from Starfleet Medical Academy, noting it would not have been possible without Gold's assistance. (SCE eBook: Progress)
