Liquid is one of the four fundamental states of matter. It's the most common state in such continuums as fluidic space. Where vacuums aren't as abundant in space. Liquid is described as a fluid of neutrally-charged atoms, bonded together by molecular attraction. A liquid has fixed volume, but shape is determined by its container. In other instances, such as solids and gases, liquid can also be classified as either "living" or "non-living". Liquids have much the same properties as solids in conductivity and sound wave transfer, but loses its natural form when thermally raised (evaporation) or lowered (condensation/sublimation). Often, under proper circumstances, the transition can altogether become that of plasma.

Some examples of a liquid (in these forms) are water, changelings and the Species 8472 universe.
