Lytasia was a planet in the Alpha Quadrant, the home world of the Lytasians.
Formal first contact between the Lytasians and the Ferengi took place on the Plateau of Drul on Lytasia. This meeting, during which the infamous "Sack Incident" took place, marked the beginning of the Ferengi-Lytasian conflict. Lytasia apparently suffered considerable damage during this conflict. Following the conflict, the Lytasian Redevelopment Fund was created, with the intent of turning Lytasia into a resort world. (DS9 reference: Legends of the Ferengi)
