M'kemas III was the third planet of the M'kemas star system and the location of a Tzenkethi colony.
During the Tzenkethi War, the USS Okinawa detected two Tzenkethi marauders on a course for M'kemas III. Benjamin Sisko noted that the settlement on M'kemas was new. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Rough Beasts of Empire)
In 2371, a Changeling commandeered the USS Defiant and put the starship on a course for M'kemas III. The Changeling planned to have the Defiant attack the colony and provoke another war between the Federation and the Tzenkethi. After Odo killed the Changeling, Miles O'Brien was able to regain control of the Defiant and an attack on the settlement on M'kemas III was averted. (DS9 episode: "The Adversary")
