Madrigal was an early 24th century drift-station, an ocean monitoring platform located on the planet Pacifica.

History and specifics[]

Madrigal served as home base for an oceanographic survey team headed by Doctor Gillian Taylor circa the year 2310. It had a transporter, observation room, communications room, and an aquatic deck.

In 2310, Madrigal staff assisted Doctor Carol Marcus's Genesis Project. Before a Genesis Device released energy into Pacifica, nonessential personnel were beamed to the orbiting USS Hermes. Shortly after the first device was set off, humpback whale team member Harpo went missing. Taylor spent six hours searching for the whale on Madrigal by broadcasting various types of music into the ocean to draw his attention. Turbulence and unexplained interference in wake of the first device's activation interfered with sensors, so Taylor joined Marcus for an on-site search aboard Nautilus, one of the USS Hermes's aquashuttles, which led to the discovery of a hidden colonial civilization.
