Malk was the second officer of the IKS noH'pach in 2376.

When the USS Euphrates was sabotaged by Prynn Tenmei, the noH'pach moved to assist. Tenmei was beamed over to the noH'pach by Taran'atar, who had been in control of the Euphrates, Malk investigated and was killed by Taran'atar who had beamed over shrouded. His disruptor was used to kill the captain and the first officer. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
