Marc Okrand

Marc Okrand was commissioned by Paramount Pictures to develop a Klingon language; the language he created was tlhIngan Hol. It featured in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Only words and grammar invented or approved by Okrand are considered to be canonical tlhIngan Hol.

He also develped the Vulcan language; which appeared in The Wrath of Khan.
