Mark Hughes

Ensign Mark Hughes was a crewmember of Enterprise-D in 2364. He was born in 2343 he was tall and had red hair. He became friends with Geordi La Forge on Farpoint Station. He called Jean-Luc Picard an "Old Burrhog" while at Farpoint Station. He got a ice cream sundae which was very like what his grandmother used to make on her farm which surprised him. At one stage he was assigned to assist the transporter chief in transporter room seven when Geordi was coming back from a away mission on the surface. He tried to ask Geordi what was happening but Geordi didn't have time to tell him. (TNG novelization: Encounter at Farpoint)
