Mark VII-T refers to a type of information storage or retrieval device primarily used by the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations. Mark VII-T devices use triple-redundant temporal phase discriminators in order to prevent "real" historical data from being corrupted by timeline changes. (TNG short story: "Gods, Fate, and Fractals")
