Masiform D

Added by Lieutenant AyalaMasiform-D is a stimulant and antitoxin developed on Omicron Eridani III. Originally used as a common stimulant, it was later found to be an antitoxin to saplin, curare, and similar drugs.
A standard dosage is 10 cc. It works by enveloping the poison to prevent its absorption, while soothing and protecting the tissue. Depending on the dose, it can sometimes also help remove the poison. Its side effects include a feeling of stimulation, and in Vulcanoids stomach cramps and nausea. (ST reference: Star Fleet Medical Reference Manual)
Commander Spock, first officer of the USS Enterprise was once poisoned by thorns fired from a pod plant on Gamma Trianguli VI. A large dose of masiform-D helped to keep him alive until the poison wore off. (TOS episode: "The Apple")
In 2285, Montgomery Scott was administered 15 ccs of masiform D to counteract the poison of a Dimorian water rat that was placed in his system by the assassin Enigma. (TOS comic: "Who Is... Enigma?")
