Matopin rock fungi are a fungus that can be eaten.

In 2373, Quark served Matopin rock fungi for the Regent of Palamar after learning it was one of his favorite foods. (DS9 episode: "Business as Usual")

In 2376, Quark was expecting a shipment of rock fungi from the Narsil. The ship was prevented from docking and Quark was concerned the rock fungi would fester if not stored properly. (DS9 novel: This Gray Spirit)
