Maximilian Forrest was a human of the mirror universe who lived in the mid 22nd century. He was that universe's counterpart of Admiral Maxwell Forrest. A member of the Imperial Starfleet, Forrest's final assignment was as Captain of the ISS Enterprise (NX-01).

Forrest had an often adversarial relationship with his first officer, Commander Jonathan Archer, which culminated in Archer leading a mutiny against Forrest and briefly taking command of the Enterprise. The mutiny was put down when Forrest's supporters freed him from the brig and retook the ship. As punishment, Forrest subjected Archer and Major Reed to the agony booth - Archer spent over 10 hours in the booth.

Sent on a mission to retrieve an advanced starship, the USS Defiant, the Enterprise was trapped in a Tholian web. Forrest sacrificed himself by drawing enemy fire and allowing his crew to escape. He was presumed killed when the Enterprise exploded. (ENT episode: "In a Mirror, Darkly").
