The Mayabi Fault was a geological fault line on the floor of the South Pacific Ocean. The Agro III agronomy station was situated above the Mayabi Fault. In 2045, a Vulcan starship which supposedly crashed into the Pacific eventually sank into the fault and was lost. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
