Meezan IV is an inhabited planet, a Federation-affiliated world that was the fourth planet in the Meezan star system. This world was near no area of strategic importance to the Dominion, at least not before their invasion of the Alpha Quadrant. (DS9 novella: The Badlands, Part IV)

In 2373, Julian Bashir attended a conference on burn treatments on the planet. Soon after leaving, he was captured by the Jem'Hadar. (DS9 episode: "In Purgatory's Shadow")
