Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Discovery and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG, Star Trek: Infinite and Star Trek Online, as well as other post-57th Anniversary publications such as the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

Due to the youth of this wiki, many important characters, places, and concepts are dismally small, or only cover the basic canonical facts. The community articles project is intended to fix that problem by selecting a single article for the entire community to work on. New articles will be chosen after the current community article sits for seven days with a major edit.

Voting[]

Voting will take place by Borda count. To place your vote, make a numbered list ranking the articles from most-needed to least. Each vote will receive a corresponding number of points (i.e., your #1 choice will receive x points, your #2 will receive x-1, etc.). The article with the highest number of total points will become the new community article. After each vote, the winner will be removed from each user's lists, although you are welcome to re-add it later if you still feel it needs attention.

A note about number of votes - it doesn't matter how many pages you vote for; #1 votes on shorter or longer lists will carry the same weight. That being said, consider keeping your list fairly concise... any vote lower than #5 will likely (but not definitely) not affect the outcome of the vote.

20 May 2006: Beverly Crusher[]

No-one seems interested in Data, so we'll move on. Two votes are needed for a win. Polling lists as of count are here.

BALLOT 1:

Beverly Crusher is our new Community Article! I've removed the article from our lists. --Chops 22:28, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

07 June 2006: Klingon Empire[]

I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, but I thought that the Crusher article had been up for a few weeks and was now largely complete, I would count the vote for the next article.

BALLOT 2:

The Klingon Empire is our new Community Article! I've removed the article from out lists. --The Doctor, 23:13, 07 June 2006 (UTC)

17 July 2006: Kes[]

If no one has any objections I think its time we changed to Community Article. The Klingon Empire has been up for over a month and no one has show any interest. I know we all like to pursue are own projects but I think that the CA is a great idea for everyone to tackle the articles that no one wants to write on their own.

BALLOT 3:

Kes is our new Community Article! I've removed the article from our lists. --The Doctor, 12:27, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Because of waning interest in the community article process, the following were selected without vote: The Doctor (1 Oct 2006), James T. Kirk (10 Jan 2007), and 'Til Death (2 April 2007).

23 April 2007: Cardassian Union[]

An attempt to revitalize the community article project. Please note the new election process, as instant runoff was proving useless with the broad range of possible candidates. Using a scale of 13 points, the following were the three highest-ranked articles:
