Memory Prime is an asteroid-bound outpost facility that houses one of the Federation's largest and most well protected library facilities. Memory Prime was constructed deep within its asteroid home and defended by powerful deflector shields in order to prevent any recurrences of a disaster that occurred at Memory Alpha, another library facility that was completely undefended and was unable to fend off an attack by alien minds known as the Zetars.
