Mempa is a binary star system located in the space of the Klingon Empire, in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant.

The Mempa system was located in the Mempa sector, in the vicinity of Beta Lankal and Rura Penthe. This system's orbit was the location of a number of planets, at least nine. Mempa was a binary star consisting of a type G yellow primary and a secondary type K orange star. (ST reference: Star Charts)

Several key battles of the Klingon Civil War were fought in the Mempa system, where Gowron's forces—including those lead by Martok—suffered a major defeat. (TNG episode: "Redemption"; DS9 episode: "Apocalypse Rising")

Governor Roloc was blamed for the defeat of Gowron's forces at Mempa. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
