Mendez was a 23rd century Human who served in Starfleet as a yeoman aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
Biography[]
In 2268, Mendez worked in the ship's galley and was known for having a volatile personality.
That year, Commander Spock read a log entry in James T. Kirk's personal log noting that Mendez and Ensign Phillips had recently quarreled in the recreation room, but it had ended peacefully. (TOS novel: Ghost-Walker)
