Merangue was a planet visited by the USS da Vinci during the mid 2370s. During this visit, Crewman Fabian Stevens drank a green liquid which made him extremely ill. Stevens compared the effects of his infection by an Ardana parasite to his experience on Merangue, impressing upon Domenica Corsi his need to visit sickbay. (CoE eBook: Signs from Heaven)
