A Metebelis crystal was a type of valuable crystalline substance known in and around he Federation in the galaxy's Alpha and Beta Quadrants in the 23rd century.

History and specifics[]

Commander Maria Kellogg of Starbase 12 used them in a saying: "I'll bet you Metebelis crystals to little green apples…" to indicate an almost certain outcome. (TOS novel: Ishmael)

This is a reference to the Metebelis crystal of Doctor Who.
