Michael A. Martin was a writer and histographer in the early 25th century, famed for his popular fictionalized accounts of Earth and Federation Starfleet missions of the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th centuries.

Sometime prior to 2423, he was approached by editor E'Shles to collaborate with fellow author Jake Sisko on a project on the history of the Undine War. (STO novel: The Needs of the Many)
