Mickey Charles Mantle was a male human baseball player for the New York Yankees in the 1950s and 1960s, considered one of the greatest players in the sport.

Quark was a fan of Mantle, using nicknames such as "The Mick," "The Commerce Comet," and "The Greatest Switch-hitter in the History of Baseball" to describe him. Quark considered Mantle's baseball card to most desirable commodity. (DS9 reference: Legends of the Ferengi)
