Mindur Timot

Mindur Timot was a male Cardassian and a scientist working for the Obsidian Order. He was responsible for numerous technologies utilized by Obsidian Order operatives. One such device was a cranial implant which stimulated the agents nerve clusters to produce endorphins when subjected to high levels of pain with the idea of making agents immune to torture as any pain experienced would be turned into a pleasurable experience. The first operative to be implanted with this device was Elim Garak. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)
Timot was also responsible for the genetic procedure used by the Order to allow Cardassian agents to pass as members of other humanoid races (and vice versa). (DS9 short story: "The Calling") This procedure was used to convince Tekeny Ghemor that Kira Nerys was his long-lost daughter, Iliana (DS9 episode: "Second Skin")
Sometime after the end of the Dominion War, Timot also devised a way to access the Vinculum, a mysterious realm described in ancient Hebitian texts as a metaphysical nexus that connects all knowledge and all creation. (DS9 short story: "The Calling")
