Minox IX was a planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the ninth planet in orbit of the Minox star system.
History and specifics[]
At some point during the 23rd century, Doctor Matthew Blumberg conducted an archaeological expedition to the planet and discovered artifacts that pointed to an ancient civilization having inhabited the planet at some time. In honor of his discovery of the artifacts on Minox IX and Alpha Prime XII, the race was named the Blumbergs. (TOS novel: The Captain's Daughter)
